All services provided by WreckHost (“WreckHost“) may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States or International Law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material we judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret and other statute. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless WreckHost from any claims resulting from the use of service which damages the subscriber or any other party.
Prohibited websites that promote any illegal activity or present content that may be damaging to WreckHost servers and services, or any other server on the Internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited.
The following content, applications, services, and activities are not permitted on WreckHost Shared Hosting:
Warez, pirated software, cracked or nulled software, license bypasses, or illegally distributed digital content.
Websites, forums, applications, or services that distribute, facilitate access to, or knowingly link to pirated or illegally distributed content.
Content that infringes upon copyrights, trademarks, intellectual property rights, or other proprietary rights.
Phishing websites, credential harvesting, identity theft, impersonation, or other attempts to fraudulently obtain personal or account information.
Malware, viruses, ransomware, Trojan horses, worms, backdoors, malicious JavaScript, malicious redirects, exploit kits, or other harmful code.
Botnets, command-and-control systems, malware distribution systems, or services designed to control compromised computers or devices.
Brute-force tools, password crackers, credential-stuffing systems, or applications designed to obtain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
Port scanners, IP scanners, vulnerability scanners, network probing tools, or penetration-testing applications directed at systems without authorization.
Denial-of-Service (DoS), Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS), stress-testing, flooding, or other applications designed to disrupt networks or services.
Hacker-focused applications, archives, tools, or services primarily intended to facilitate unauthorized access, exploitation, or malicious activity.
Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to WreckHost systems, another WreckHost customer, or any third-party computer, account, server, or network.
Spam, unsolicited bulk email, mail bombing, purchased mailing lists, harvested email addresses, or other abusive email practices.
Applications or scripts primarily designed for unsolicited mass mailing or bulk email distribution.
Forged, deceptive, or intentionally misleading email headers or sender information.
Open mail relays or applications that allow unauthorized third parties to send email through WreckHost systems.
Websites promoted through unsolicited bulk email or other forms of spam.
Any email activity that causes excessive complaints, delivery failures, or the listing of WreckHost servers or IP addresses on spam or abuse blocklists.
Cryptocurrency mining or other resource-intensive cryptocurrency processing.
Cryptocurrency, blockchain, or decentralized network nodes that require continuously running server processes or excessive system resources.
High-Yield Investment Programs (HYIP), Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, fraudulent MLM programs, Prime Bank programs, or other deceptive investment schemes.
Fraudulent financial services, fraudulent escrow services, fraudulent banking websites, or websites designed to misrepresent a legitimate financial institution.
Cryptocurrency exchanges, money transmission services, financial trading platforms, or similar regulated financial services without prior written approval from WreckHost.
Lottery, wagering, casino, sports betting, or other gambling services without prior written approval from WreckHost and evidence of all required licensing.
Fraudulent websites, scams, deceptive businesses, fake stores, fake support services, or websites intended to mislead or defraud users.
Sale, distribution, or promotion of controlled substances where prohibited by law or where appropriate licensing or permits cannot be demonstrated.
Sale or distribution of controlled, regulated, or restricted items without all legally required licenses or permits.
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), sexual exploitation of minors, or any content that depicts, promotes, facilitates, or links to such material.
Sex trafficking, human trafficking, or content or services that facilitate exploitation.
Sexually explicit adult websites or adult-oriented services without prior written approval from WreckHost.
Websites whose primary purpose is serving adult advertisements without prior written approval.
Content or activities that are unlawful or that promote, facilitate, or encourage illegal activity.
Stolen credentials, stolen financial information, stolen accounts, stolen goods, or other unlawfully obtained property or information.
Doxxing, unlawful disclosure of private information, or publication of unlawfully obtained personal information.
Content or services designed primarily to circumvent authentication systems, access controls, licensing mechanisms, paywalls, or security protections without authorization.
Unauthorized rebroadcasting, restreaming, or distribution of copyrighted television, sporting events, movies, music, or other protected media.
Music, video, movie, software, or other media storage facilities where the hosting account is primarily being used as a media repository rather than to operate a website.
BitTorrent, peer-to-peer (P2P), seedboxes, file-leeching, or similar file-sharing applications.
Public file dumping, file mirroring, file lockers, or large-scale file distribution services.
High-bandwidth file hosting or download services where the primary purpose of the account is distributing files rather than hosting a website.
Backup repositories, remote backup services, or using Shared Hosting primarily for storing files unrelated to the website hosted on the account.
Personal or commercial cloud-storage or file-synchronization platforms intended to provide large-scale storage to users.
Public image-hosting services where the primary purpose of the account is hosting images for third-party websites or users.
Video downloading, stream ripping, media ripping, or similar services intended to download or redistribute third-party media.
Proxy servers, public proxy services, VPN servers, anonymizers, traffic relays, or similar network services on Shared Hosting.
Public URL-shortening services primarily used to redirect third-party traffic when such services create an elevated spam, phishing, or abuse risk.
Commercial audio or video streaming services designed to support continuous or high-volume streaming.
Live streaming or rebroadcast services that generate excessive bandwidth or server resource usage.
Game servers or continuously running multiplayer game services.
IRC servers, IRC bots, or applications designed to operate as part of an IRC network.
MUD, RPG, PBBG, browser-game, or similar applications when their resource requirements are unsuitable for a Shared Hosting environment.
Stand-alone daemons, continuously running server processes, or persistent background applications not normally associated with standard website operation.
Cryptocurrency miners, scientific computing, distributed computing, rendering, AI model training, AI inference workloads, or other applications primarily intended to use the server as a general-purpose computing platform.
Web crawlers, spiders, scrapers, indexers, automated data collection systems, or bots that generate excessive resource usage or network traffic.
Excessive or abusive cron jobs, scheduled tasks, PHP processes, database queries, API requests, or other automated processes.
Applications that continuously consume excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, database connections, processes, bandwidth, storage, or other shared server resources.
Applications intentionally designed to circumvent WreckHost resource limits, security restrictions, or account limitations.
Reselling or providing hosting services from a Shared Hosting account unless the service is specifically designated by WreckHost as a reseller hosting service.
Operating public hosting panels, shell hosting services, remote desktop services, container hosting, virtual machines, or similar server-hosting platforms from a Shared Hosting account.
Any application, website, script, process, or activity that negatively impacts the performance, security, stability, availability, or reputation of WreckHost systems or services.
Any activity that negatively impacts other WreckHost customers or interferes with their ability to use the hosting service.
Any activity that generates an excessive number of abuse complaints, spam reports, security incidents, network complaints, or third-party service complaints.
Storage or processing of highly sensitive or regulated information where the Shared Hosting service has not specifically been approved by WreckHost for that purpose.
Any content, application, service, or activity that violates applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
Any use that WreckHost determines is inappropriate for a Shared Hosting environment because of security, resource consumption, network usage, abuse potential, or operational requirements.
Certain services that are prohibited on Shared Hosting may be permitted on an eligible VPS or Dedicated Hosting service with prior approval from WreckHost, provided the activity otherwise complies with WreckHost policies and applicable law.
These may include, but are not limited to:
Proxy or VPN services
High-bandwidth file hosting
Authorized file mirrors
High-volume image hosting
Commercial audio or video streaming
Authorized live streaming
Certain game or persistent server applications
High-resource applications
Specialized background processes
Large-scale storage applications
Moving an application to a VPS or Dedicated Server does not waive any other provision of the WreckHost Acceptable Use Policy. Illegal, fraudulent, malicious, abusive, infringing, or otherwise prohibited activity remains prohibited on all WreckHost services.
It is the account holder’s responsibility to ensure that all files, applications, content, and activities stored or operated through their account comply with WreckHost policies and applicable law.
NOTICE: IF YOUR ACCOUNT(S) BREACH ANY OF THE ABOVE EXAMPLES, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE SUSPENDED IMMEDIATELY. ADDITIONALLY, “WreckHost” WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ANY RELEVANT AUTHORITIES SHOULD THEY REQUEST IT. THIS POLICY MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
